"The right way" - Manor Solomon issues message after impressive Leeds United bout | OneFootball

Leeds United's Manor Solomon got off to an excellent start on his debut, and he took to social media to express his happiness.

Leeds United are already looking comfortable in the Championship this season.

The objective, as always, for Leeds this season is to gain promotion to the Premier League, and there will be real disappointment if the club fail to do so this time around.

It has been a solid start for the Whites, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Two wins and two draws have given them the foundations to kick on now and try to earn a run of consecutive wins.

Their two draws came against Portsmouth at Elland Road on opening day and away to West Brom, but they have since picked up two consecutive 2–0 wins against Sheffield United and Hull City to take them up to fourth in the Championship.

It was a reasonably comfortable win this weekend against Tim Walter's Hull, but they had to wait until the second half to find their goals. Leeds' starting 11 consisted of just one debutant by the name of Manor Solomon, who certainly had a big impact on his Elland Road bout.

The 25-year-old signed on loan from Tottenham last week, and it did not take him long to get involved. Just after the hour mark, Solomon received the ball wide on the left flank before making a darting run towards the byline and delivering a pinpoint cross to Mateo Joseph, who opened the scoring.

The debutant grabbed an assist only an hour into his debut before being substituted for Joel Piroe, who scored the second to kill the game.

Leeds fans will be delighted about their new man's performance, but it seems Solomon was just as happy with how his debut went.

Solomon reacts on social media to Leeds debut

As players often do after a successful debut, Manor Solomon took to social media following Leeds' win over Hull to share a message of gratitude to his new supporters.

His post on X and Instagram read: "First game at Elland Road starts in the right way - Thank you fans for the warm welcome".

Leeds United fans are well known for their passion on the terraces, and Solomon learned that first-hand on Saturday.

Immediately after the full-time whistle, the players celebrated with the supporters, and new signings, Ao Tanaka, Largie Ramazani and Solomon received an especially warm reception.

Manor Solomon could be a crucial player for Leeds this season

The 25-year-old has joined on a season-long loan move from Spurs, in order to gain some valuable game time after suffering from a long-term meniscus injury that cut his campaign short last season.

Solomon only managed five Premier League appearances last season before picking up his injury, but he certainly showed glimpses of real talent in that short spell.

He was particularly impressive in Tottenham's 5-2 win over Burnley early on in the season, as he assisted two goals from the left wing, with Heung-min Son scoring both. Burnley will be dreading coming up against Solomon again this season.

Solomon also has plenty of Champions League experience from his time with Shakhtar Donetsk, scoring goals against Manchester City and Real Madrid.

If his assist on debut for Leeds is anything to go, the 25-year-old is going to be a serious attacking threat, which is needed after the departure of Crysencio Summerville. Solomon should realistically be playing Premier League football, so Leeds are incredibly lucky to have him around as they push for promotion out of the Championship.
