Leeds United Under-21s return to Premier League 2 action this weekend, as they travel to the capital to face Fulham Under-21s on Friday evening.
Despite the previous fixture with Charlton Athletic falling foul of the weather, the Whites have been in fine form in recent weeks, having won six of their previous eight outings in all competitions.
In those matches, Scott Gardner’s side have won three out of their four outings in the PL2, starting with an impressive victory over reigning champions Tottenham, as well as beating West Bromwich Albion at home and Nottingham Forest on the road.
Last time out, United fell to a 3-2 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup, despite goals from Connor Douglas and Rhys Chadwick.
Chadwick’s chipped effort continued a rich vein of goalscoring form that the midfielder is enjoying, where he has found the net in five of his last six appearances.
Those results leave Leeds sitting six points adrift of Friday’s opposition, with Fulham having enjoyed a bright start to the new campaign where they have won six of their seven matches to date.
Last time out, the Cottagers beat London rivals West Ham 3-0 away from home, thanks to goals from Aaron Loupalo-Bi, Callum Osmand and Kristian Sekularac.
The last time the two sides met, it was Fulham who came out on top in an eight-goal thriller at the LNER Community Stadium, despite Joe Snowdon and Joe Richards impressing for Gardner’s side.
Kick off from Motspur Park gets underway at 7pm.
