The 32-year-old has four goals and four assists in the opening seven games, taking him to 159 goals and 72 assists in total in the English top flight for the Reds.

Only five players have registered more goal involvements for a single Premier League side than Salah (231). And he’s not far off breaking into that elite group of players.

The Premier League players with the most goal involvements for one club:

5. Frank Lampard, Chelsea (237)

Probably the best Chelsea player of the Premier League era, Frank Lampard notched an impressive 147 goals and created another 90 during his 13-year spell at Stamford Bridge. No midfielder since 1992 has more goal contributions than the three-time league winner, although a certain Cole Palmer may knock him off that particular perch by the end of his career.

4. Thierry Henry, Arsenal (249)

Arsenal‘s record goalscorer, Thierry Henry was not just a sublime finisher, but a terrific enabler of goals for his teammates. He found the net 14 times in eight full seasons with the Gunners, assisting another 74 during a glorious stint in north London. He’s the only player to reach 20 goals and 20 assists in a single season.

The Frenchman returned on a short-term loan to grab one last goal before seeing out the rest of his career in MLS.

3. Harry Kane, Spurs (259)

From failing to score while on loan at Norwich City to being Tottenham Hotspur‘s most prolific player, Harry Kane enjoyed quite the rise in English football before leaving in 2023. The striker departed the Lilywhites after 19 years and 213 league goals at the club, just 47 goals off Alan Shearer’s record.

The 31-year-old, now at Bayern Munich, has possibly given up the chance to break that record and the one for most goal involvements for one club in the Premier League. His 44 assists take him to 259 overall contributions, not far off number one on this list.

2. Ryan Giggs, Man Utd (271)

Ryan Giggs was a one club man through his 22-year playing career, winning an astonishing 13 league titles and two Champions Leagues with Manchester United. No players has more assists (162) in Premier League history, while he’s only one of 34 players to net a century of goals (109).

The Welshman’s reputation has been severely hurt in recent years following serious accusations, of which he was cleared in court. He had previously conducted an eight-year affair with his brother’s wife.

1. Wayne Rooney, Man Utd (276)

In 13 years at Manchester United, Wayne Rooney broke the club record for most goals scored by a player (253), overtaking icons such as Bobby Charlton and Denis Law.

183 of them came in the league, making him the player with the most goals for one club in the Premier League, beating Thierry Henry by eight goals. He provided 92 assists during his time at Old Trafford, giving him more goal involvements for a single club than any player in the league’s history.
