The local Liverpool glory hunters appear to be keeping out of my way…

I only realised on Wednesday that I had done over 600 articles for The Mag.
One of the lads in the Club, Richard, had my profile up on Google and was discussing one of my recent Newcastle United articles.
It was the first time I’d seen Richard this week and he was one happy chappie, even giving me a warm manly hug.
It got me wondering if I can manage another 600 articles in the following 4-5 years (I started writing articles for The Mag in about 2020), how many more glorious days like last Sunday will I get to relay/submit my feelings upon?
Before I had a pint in the club, I had went to Aldi with my mate John Paul.
We always get some funny looks when he pulls up in the car park in his top of the range Bentley, but thankfully JP has always kept the common touch.
JP’s former long-time partner Maria is a red scouser and their son also supports the Anfield club.
He was born in Glasgow but has resided in Tynemouth for many years.
I was amused when he told me that he had messaged Maria after Dan Burn had opened the scoring at Wembley.
Apparently she had dismissed it as a blip and that the great Liverpool would be back in the groove after the half-time break.
Oh no they weren’t and JP couldn’t resist sending another message that simply said “Oh dear!”, after ‘Ice Cold’ Alex had increased United’s lead.
Maria then had a hissy, sending a messages back that were full of expletives and profanities, and stating that she was turning her phone off.
Later, our mate Bob Dunn told us that he had watched the game in King Street Club in the East End of North Shields.
There’s a bit of loudmouth scouser gets in there but Bob says that he was gracious and magnanimous in defeat.
The local North Shields glory hunters seem to be keeping out of my way and I’m particularly looking forward to bumping into Baldy Nick.
For the first time in many years I’ll be paying some attention to how the national team get on over the next week.
That is simply because of the man of the moment Dan Burn.
I’m sure new boss Thomas Tuchel will hand Big Dan his first cap at some point during England’s next two matches.
We also have Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento in the squad and I hope they both do well and don’t pick up any niggles or injuries.
It may seem a canny way off, but I’m already becoming focused on United’s next EPL game against Brentford at St James’ Park, on Wednesday the 2nd of April.
What a football treat could be in store against Thomas Frank’s accomplished outfit.
The Bees showed their pedigree and also did us favour, by coming back from a goal down away at Bournemouth in their last Premier League outing.
After the cup triumph and celebrations (including a victory parade for the team on the 29th March), all of our focus must be on securing a Champions League place for next season.
In my opinion we have a bloody good run in and hold a lot of the aces on the teams around us.
The Newcastle United Chairman Yasir Al-Rumyyan has already indicated that United are going to spend in the summer window and I think quality additions will be a definite.
