The Karmic forces have eventually come through

Well, the Karmic forces have eventually come through and Newcastle United sit in what some would claim, is a supposedly ‘miraculous’ position of sixth.

However, others would look at the table and think ‘What if?’

What if Newcastle United had experienced a ‘normal’ bout of injuries?

I truly believe that with a relatively full squad, NUFC would be challenging for the title and as others have stated, the Champions League.

There is a blessing in that the much-maligned Big Dan Burn has now been deployed into his natural and best position, and yes, I did say that Eddie Howe should have and could have gone to three at the back previously to accentuate our players’ abilities, but circumstances have now forced his hand, and as a result, we have steadied the ship.

It isn’t rocket science but leaving aside the lack of flexibility in formations, the calmness and salient demeanour of Eddie Howe has been exemplary, especially in the face of incessant attempts from the media to undermine him and amidst an unprecedented injury list that is unequalled in the managerial sphere.

The media really do not like Newcastle United disturbing the hierarchy, illustrated by the comments from some in studios and the constant speculation about transfers and kite flying of speculation about mandatory selling of our best players.

As far as I am concerned, they can do one, and I hope the constant sniping galvanises our resolve and Eddie Howe and Jason Tindall can use this in their ‘us against them’ resolve and finish the season on a high.

Unlike many clubs, we are united in the true sense of the word and the future is brighter, as we look forward to exciting times on Tyneside.

With the exception of Man City, none of the teams above us are to be feared.

The issue of the 115 charges hanging over them is yet to be resolved but it stinks to high heaven and Everton and Forest have been shafted, whilst the big-money elite are now intent on changing the rules from points deductions to throwing a few quid at the financial wrongdoings, the height of hypocrisy!

As ever, the glass is half full and as we see the return of our depleted squad members, it is filling up rather nicely.

Kudos to those who have weathered the storm and stepped onto our turf, whilst knowing fine and well they weren’t fit, but prepared to take one for the team.

Let’s finish the season with a flourish, Newcastle United have nothing and nobody to fear.
