On the negative side, Carney Chukwuemeka wasn’t included in the squad, and was later revealed to have picked up some kind of minor knock in training.

We pray that this is as minor as possible, and that he gets a few minutes in the next friendly, just to give us some confidence that he’s going to be ready for our match against Burnley after the break, which we were hoping to see him start.

Unfortunately, this knock, no matter how minor, probably gives Mauricio Pochettino another excuse to frustratingly leave him out again. Despite the superb impact he made as a sub against Leicester last week, and despite the amazing quality he adds as an inside forward.
