The 2023 calendar year has all but come to an end, and we were treated to some real thrillers across the grounds.

There were also some incredible goals, too. And we believe these were the five best.

5. Harry Kane (Bayern 8-0 Darmstadt, Oct. 28)

We kick things off with a goal that’s fairly recent but will live long in Bundesliga folklore.

Harry Kane has put a staggering number of goals in the back of the net for his new club Bayern Munich, but doing so from half was outrageous.

The stunner encompassed the vision, power, and strength every true striker needs.

It was the second of his eventual hat-trick as Bayern piled on the goals.

4. John Kennedy (Boca Juniors 1-2 Fluminense, Nov. 4)

Next up we’re flying you over to Brazil where history was made in style.

John Kennedy came off the bench and scored a 99th-minute winner in extra-time to help Fluminense lift their first Libertadores.

Three players were involved as it was true jogo bonito on display in front of a roaring crowd and in a major tournament final, no less!

The strike helped beat Boca Juniors, too, which adds a nice rivalry touch.

3. Linda Caicedo (Germany 1-2 Colombia, July 30)

We simply had to include one of the many stunners from the Women’s World Cup this summer, and naturally, the goal of the tournament earns a place.

Linda Caicedo led the way for Colombia and made sure to haunt Germany’s nightmares for years to come with some tricky feet.

Beating three defenders and an outstretched goalkeeper as the ball blasted into the far top corner? Madness.

A star was born at 18!

2. Ilkay Gundogan (Man City 2-1 Man Utd, June 23)

We have another stunner from a final here, as one particular Manchester Derby captivated the world last summer.

And nobody will be able to forget former Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan’s opening strike in the FA Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side ripped United apart with just four passes, and the ball was blasted into the net from outside the box.

Thirteen seconds into the final against your club’s biggest rivals? Unbelievable.

1. Alejandro Garnacho (Everton 0-3 Man Utd, Nov. 26)

It had to be, didn’t it?

Alejandro Garnacho’s stunning over-heard kick to beat England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford from range might be one of the best of the decade.

The Argentina star pulled it out of nowhere, and his form resembled a particular ex-Manchester United man who is known to be one of his idols. Garnacho then celebrated accordingly.

A potential Puskas winner at the age of 19?
