The door is not closed at Chelsea for Joao Felix despite strong links he will leave the club according to Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea signed Felix for £45m last summer from Atletico Madrid , and the 25-year-old penned a seven year deal at Stamford Bridge.
Felix was signed as a back-up to Cole Palmer and he started just three Premier League games over the first half of the season with limited impact.
Clearly frustrated with a lack of playing time, Felix decided he already wanted to embark on a fresh challenge and joined AC Milan on loan in January.
The Portuguese made a great start to life in Italy as he scored on his debut, and even expressed his desire to remain at the club beyond the end of the season.
However, things have taken a turn and Felix’s form has dropped, which has resulted in him being dropped from the starting line-up.

As things stand it’s expected Milan won’t sign him on a permanent basis this summer and Romano has reported the door isn’t fully closed for him at Chelsea.
“If Chelsea get a good proposal for João Félix, I think he could possibly leave permanently,” he told his YouTube channel.
“The door is not closed at Chelsea, though.”
Felix is set to return to Chelsea in time for the Club World Cup this summer and could play a part in America as the Blues aim to lift the trophy in July.

It had been reported the Blues could reintegrate Felix into the squad as they could struggle to find a permanent buyer.
A more likely outcome is Felix once again goes out on loan, with the Blues hoping he does well to increase his transfer value and attract more suitors ahead of a potential exit in 2026.
