Over the years, we've seen many footballers develop their own signature move.

These are moves perfected by players who spent hours and hours honing their craft.

One such player who can boast their own skill is Portuguese winger Ricardo Quaresma, who has made the trivela - the art of kicking the ball with the outside of the boot - his own.

Indeed, you can treat yourself to a 10-minute compilation video of Quaresma's trivela on YouTube.

The former Barcelona and Chelsea winger, now plying his trade in his home country for Vitoria de Guimaraes, even earned a nomination for goal of the tournament at the 2018 World Cup after his trivela against Iran.

That was Quaresma's most famous trivela. But his best arguably came 11 years before in an international contest against Belgium.

It was his first goal for his country and to this day doesn't make sense. The winger manages to get a ridiculous amount of swerve on the ball to send it soaring over a helpless Stijn Stijnen's head.

The finish was exceptional. Receiving the ball from Cristiano Ronaldo, Quaresma teed himself up with a neat chop before producing a moment of magic.

How's that for some next-level wizardry?

Fans have expressed their disbelief in the comments.

"This bend doesn’t even seem physically possible," one write.

Another added: "What kind of wizardry be this? Such a goal should not be allowed!!!!"

Quaresma, now 37, has spent the past year playing in Portugal following five years in Turkey.

Although some might have expected more from a player with unbelievable skills, Quaresma has enjoyed a fine career that includes a Champions League win with Inter Milan and European Championship success with his country in 2016.

Plus, when he does hang up his boots he can forever boast about his own signature move.
