Fantasy Premier League reaches Gameweek 30 over the Easter weekend with the finish line in sight for the FPL season.

Selecting the right captain is crucial to hopes of a huge haul and this weekend offers a chance to move away from perennial armband wearer Erling Haaland, with the Norwegian facing off against league leaders Arsenal and some appealing selections elsewhere.

Mohamed Salah vs Brighton (H)

Mohamed Salah is the most transferred in player ahead of the Gameweek 30 deadline, as FPL managers flock to bring in the fit-again Liverpool star.

Salah has made two starts in all competitions since returning from a muscular issue and has stepped instantly back into the groove, notching two goals and three assists in clashes with Sparta Prague (Europa League) and Manchester United (FA Cup).

The Egyptian international has 15 goals and nine assists in the Premier League so far this season and will be confident of adding to that haul when Brighton visit Anfield this weekend.

Salah has a strong record against Brighton, having scored eight times and laid on six assists in 13 previous Premier League appearances against the South Coast side. The Seagulls have also lost five of their last six away games.

Son Heung-min vs Luton (H)

Son Heung-min will be a popular selection for this weekend’s schedule as Spurs welcome Luton to north London.

Ange Postecoglou will demand a response from his team after their dismal defeat at Fulham before the international break and Son will be central to hopes of an improved performance. The South Korean is the club’s leading scorer with 14 league goals and netted for the Taegeuk Warriors during the international break.

Son’s finishing is elite and he has the biggest over-performance in terms of xG in the Premier League this season (+5.27), having also topped the metric in 2021/22.

Luton, meanwhile, have seen their survival bid stall and The Hatters are without a win or clean sheet in eight Premier League games. No side has a higher Expected Goals Against (xGA) figure than Luton (71.45) this season.

Cole Palmer vs Burnley (H)

Cole Palmer has been one of the best value selections in FPL this season and more than 300,000 managers have brought the Chelsea midfielder back in ahead of the GW30 deadline.

Palmer has 11 goals and nine assists this season and recorded his seventh double-digit haul of the campaign against Newcastle before the break. The 21-year-old and Chelsea take on Burnley in the Premier League this weekend, with the struggling Clarets possessing the second-worst defensive record in the division.

Vincent Kompany’s side have recorded just one clean sheet all season, an omen that bodes well for those punting on Palmer this weekend.

Rodrigo Muniz vs Sheffield United (A)

Another of the season’s surprise packages, Rodrigo Muniz has fast earned cult status at Fulham.

An unexpected goal glut from the Brazilian has made Muniz the first-choice forward in Marco Silva’s side with the 22-year-old having netted seven times in his last seven Premier League appearances.

A trip to face rock-bottom Sheffield United – who have the highest goals conceded per game figure in Premier League history this season – offers a chance for the forward’s hot streak to continue.

Fulham have been poor travellers this season, only Burnley and Sheffield United have taken fewer points on the road, but a trip to Bramall Lane offers the opportunity to improve that record.
