A couple of the Addicks' key players could leave next summer as things stand.
Charlton Athletic have a few players who are set to be out of contract next summer as things stand.
The Addicks have been busy securing the long-term futures of several key figures this summer, with Nathan Jones' new five-year deal being one of the most important pieces of business completed by the club during the off-season.
Meanwhile, exciting striker Miles Leaburn and left-footed defender Macaulay Gillesphey, who scored the winning goal at Wembley in the League One play-off final last season, have both extended their stays in SE7.
Charlton have also agreed fresh terms with a number of other academy graduates this year, including Nathan Asiimwe, Micah Mbick, Kai Enslin and Ibrahim Fullah.
However, there are still five players who are set to be out of contract in the summer of 2026 if no action is taken, so let's take a look at which Charlton players could potentially depart next year.
Experienced midfielder Luke Berry joined Charlton on a two-year deal last summer following his departure from Luton Town.
The Addicks hold an option to extend the 33-year-old's contract by a further year, meaning they could decide to keep hold of him until 2027 if Jones sees fit.
Berry scored eight goals and provided five assists last season, and he is already off the mark for the 2025/26 campaign, having netted against Stevenage in the EFL Cup.
Prolific striker Matty Godden played a key role in Charlton's promotion to the Championship after joining from Coventry City for an undisclosed fee last summer.
The 34-year-old scored 22 goals in all competitions last term as the Addicks ensured they would be playing in the second tier for the first time since 2020 this season.
Godden is set to be out of contract in 2026, but, like with Berry, Charlton hold an option to extend his deal by a further year.
Jamaican international Tyreece Campbell is another Charlton player who is set to be out of contract next summer, but the club also holds an option for his terms to be extended until 2027.
The 21-year-old has benefitted hugely from working with Nathan Jones, and is now one of the Addicks' key attacking players, having scored nine goals over the course of the 2024/25 campaign.
It is a credit to Charlton that they have options to extend the contracts of players like Campbell and Godden, as it was not too long ago that they lost George Dobson to Wrexham on a free transfer and were forced to sell Corey Blackett-Taylor to Derby County with less than a year remaining on his deal.
Goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer signed a new long-term contract back in 2023, keeping him at the club until at least the summer of 2026.
However, following the arrival of Thomas Kaminski this summer, the 26-year-old now finds himself down the pecking order at The Valley - Will Mannion started against Stevenage in the EFL Cup and has also featured on the bench in the Championship so far.
Therefore, it would be a surprise if Charlton extended Maynard-Brewer's contract by a further year unless they want to try and cash in on him next summer.
Charlton signed midfielder Terry Taylor from Burton Albion for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2023.
The 24-year-old is currently on loan at League One side Northampton Town, where he also spent the second half of last season.
Taylor is set to be out of contract next summer, and it would be no surprise to see him leave the club having failed to make any real impact during his time at The Valley.
