The new League One side will be busy trying to tie the majority of these players down over the course of the current season.
Bradford City ended their six-year spell in League Two in May when they dramatically earned promotion on the final day, finishing in the top three.
They've enjoyed a solid start to the current League One campaign so far, as players look to prove to Graham Alexander that they can cut it in the third tier for such a historic club, not only for the chance to be picked consistently, but also to ensure that they remain a Bradford player at the end of the season.
Currently, 14 players are set to be out of contract at the end of the 2025/26 campaign at Valley Parade, and with the club's ambitions of becoming a Championship side sooner rather than later, these players will be out to prove to Alexander that they can play a vital part in that project.
For this piece, we used information from Transfermarkt.
Right-back Brad Halliday is in his fourth season at the club, and signed a two-year extension ahead of their promotion-winning 2024/25 campaign, meaning he is out of contract at the end of this current term.
The 30-year-old missed just seven league games combined in his first three seasons at Valley Parade, but is yet to make an appearance in 2025/26, with new signing Josh Neufville holding down the right wing-back position in his place.
Halliday will have to bide his time for an opportunity this season and ensure he takes it when it does come.
Neill Bryne arrived at the club at the beginning of last season after playing a part in Stockport County's title-winning campaign the year prior.
He signed a two-year deal, and despite periods out of the team, was reliable when called upon and started each of the final six League Two games en route to their eventual promotion - a second consecutive one for the 32-year-old.
Byrne is also yet to feature this season, however, after picking up a knee injury in a preseason match in late July.
Like Byrne, Calum Kavanagh is also coming to the end of the first contract he signed at Bradford - a two-and-a-half-year deal in January 2024 when he signed from Middlesbrough.
A shin injury has kept him from making his first League One appearance of his career so far, but the dynamic midfielder was a big part of the side that finished in League Two's top three last season, scoring nine in 38 appearances.
At 21, the Irishman will be seen as an important part of the Bantams' future, so you'd expect a new contract to be tabled sooner rather than later.
Andy Cook signed a three-year extension in May 2023, meaning he too is out of contract at the end of the current season.
He is also yet to play a game this season, after a New Year's Day ACL injury cut his 2024/25 campaign short.
The 34-year-old has been a goal machine during his time in West Yorkshire, scoring 77 league goals in only 169 league games - including 12 in 22 last season pre-injury.
Cook turns 35 in October, and questions will be asked about whether he can recapture that form after such a serious injury.
If he can, you'd expect he'll be sticking around at the end of the season.
Like Neill Byrne, Antoni Sarcevic signed a two-year contract at Bradford at the beginning of last season after he departed from Stockport.
The 33-year-old scored seven times in League Two last season, including the all-important late winner against Fleetwood Town, to secure a sixth promotion out of League Two.
He's started life back in League One perfectly, too, the highlight being a winner in front of his old fans at Edgeley Park to secure a 2-1 win over Stockport.
His contributions so far indicate a player that Graham Alexander wants to keep around, but the 33-year-old has departed League One sides midway through the season for clubs further down the pyramid, so his status will be something to monitor as the campaign goes on.
Kenyan international Clarke Oduor has been a useful squad option at Bradford since he signed a three-year deal upon leaving Barnsley in the summer of 2023.
The 26-year-old has played just once since scoring from the bench on New Year's Day against Barrow, however, and doesn't appear to be in the thinking of Alexander this season.
He missed the opening day win against Wycombe Wanderers with a concussion, but has yet to force his way into the side since.
Former Hull City striker Tyler Smith also signed a three-year contract in 2023, but it'll be a surprise to see that extended, given he played just seven times in all competitions for the Bantams last season before being sent out on loan to Barrow in January.
The 26-year-old is also yet to make a matchday squad this season, and with Cook waiting in the wings to return from injury, it'll be difficult for Smith to make his way into the side regularly once more.
When fit, Aden Baldwin has been a useful centre-back in the short time he's been at Valley Parade, following his arrival last summer from Notts County.
The 28-year-old was a main fixture for the Bantams side last season, after a hamstring injury kept him out for a little over two months to begin the campaign.
In the 30 League Two games he started, Bradford won 17.
After serving the rest of his two-match suspension to begin the season, after he received a red card in the penultimate game of the 2024/25 campaign, Baldwin has been used regularly, making his first League One start in the 2-1 win over Luton Town.
His contract expires next June.
27-year-old Alex Pattison knows what it's like to achieve promotion out of League One, achieving it with Wycombe Wanderers in 2020.
After tearing up League Two with Harrogate Town, he continued to do so for Bradford, scoring seven in 30 games last season to help the Bantams to a League Two promotion, and even captaining the side a few times towards the back end of the campaign.
The central midfielder might not be the first name on the teamsheet this season, but he offers something different for Alexander, and will be called on to impact games at times, like he did in the second half of their 2-1 win over Stockport.
His deal expires next June.
Tyreik Wright started 11 of the opening 12 games of last season's League Two campaign, but then made just eight starts for the remainder of the season, albeit with some injuries disrupting things along the way.
The 23-year-old wideman has shown glimpses of quality on the Valley Parade pitch, but is very much a squad option this season.
