Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Torino this evening, Filippo Terracciano shared his thoughts on the task at hand. After joining the Rossoneri in January, the full-back will make his first game from start for the club.

Milan signed Terracciano from Hellas Verona at the start of the January transfer window, agreeing on a deal worth €4.5m with the Bentegodi side. Since then, however, the 21-year-old has only made a handful of appearances for a total of 59 minutes on the pitch.

Tonight, as was announced earlier this evening, Terracciano will make his first start for Milan and the youngster is naturally very excited. Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanPress, he shared his thoughts on getting the opportunity this evening.

On the game…

“It’s a match that we have prepared well for because Torino have a strong identity, we know their way of playing. It’s my first match as a starter, I’ve been waiting for it for a long time: I couldn’t ask for a better match because I also know the opposing coach well.

On getting the chance…

“I’m really happy. I think I’ve had significant growth even by playing little. Training by training I always continue to learn, I was aware of this growth that awaited me: I didn’t expect anything different.”

In addition to Terracciano, the likes of Pierre Kalulu, Yunus Musah, Luka Jovic and Noah Okafor are starting tonight. It’s a chance for the reserves to impress, in other words, and Milan can thank Pioli for giving them the chance.
