Since EA Sports dropped the trailer for the new FC 26, the football world has been waiting with bated breath to see the full scale of the upgrades promised to fans of the game.
Having already discussed many of the upgrades we expect to see in FC 26, we’re focusing our attention on some of the best wonderkids to watch out for this time around.
These wonderkids are already making waves in the real world, so read on as we take a look at ten players you’ll want to watch out for in FC 26, especially in Career Mode.
When people think of Barcelona’s young stars, Lamine Yamal is often the first that comes to mind. But in FC 26, Pau Cubarsi could be a gem for Career Mode players.
The 18-year-old is fast becoming one of the best young centre-backs in modern football and has been hailed for his confidence, ball playing, and positional intelligence.
Cubarsi is rated 72 in FC 25, but he’ll likely get a huge bump in FC 26.
Desire Doue is the poster boy for the next generation of technically gifted French stars.
The 20-year-old forward has already taken the world by storm, playing a crucial role in a Paris Saint-Germain side that recently completed a European treble.
Doue was handed a 76 overall rating in FC 25. While that is respectable on paper, you can expect his stock to rise dramatically in FC 26 after last season’s exploits.
Myles Lewis-Skelly is another Arsenal prospect who is building a reputation as one of England’s most exciting and versatile young defenders.
He started his career as a midfielder but has played at left-back since breaking into the first team. His rating might not immediately turn heads in FC 26, but his development potential will.
He’s a not-so-hidden gem that’ll more than likely become a value-for-money signing in Career Mode.
Manchester City may have struck the deal of the summer when they signed Rayan Cherki from Olympique Lyon in a bargain £34m deal.
The 21-year-old has already given Man City fans a glimpse of what to expect in 2025/26, and he’d undoubtedly be a fantastic prospect in FC 26 Career Mode.
Cherki’s 75 rating on FC 25 hardly does him any justice, and FC 26 should rectify that with a bumper upgrade.
Another wonderkid who stands out from Luis Enrique’s star-studded PSG pack is French midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery.
For a 19-year-old midfielder, the Frenchman plays with plenty of maturity.
He thrives as a box-to-box midfielder and would be a high-value asset in anyone’s Career Mode. If you get him in early, he could develop into one of the game’s most complete midfielders within a few years.
When Ethan Nwaneri made his Premier League debut at 15, it was clear Arsenal had something special on their hands. Now 18, he’s beginning to make his mark in the first team.
In FC 26, Nwaneri will likely have a modest starting rating, but his ceiling could be immense. If you’re looking to take a raw talent and mould him into a star, Nwaneri is the perfect project.
No list of wonderkids in FC 26 would be complete without Lamine Yamal. The Barcelona winger is already being hailed as a future Ballon d’Or winner.
At just 18, he has already won the domestic treble with Barca while being one of the most influential players in Hansi Flick’s ultra-attacking team.
Yamal is the sort of attacking player that can transform your FC 26 Career Mode team into a dominating powerhouse.
His starting rating could be as high as 86, with the potential to improve beyond 92.
While not yet a household name, Rodrigo Mora has been turning heads in Portugal.
The Portuguese winger has already been linked with a big-money move to Europe, so it’s only a matter of time before one of the heavyweights comes knocking on Porto’s door.
FC 26 will likely give him a rating that reflects his raw talent. Mora might be a gamble in Career Mode, but with the right development, he could grow into a world beater.
Endrick has yet to live up to expectations at Real Madrid for obvious reasons, but he’s still one to watch out for in FC 26 Career Mode.
Hailed as one of Brazil’s teenage gems, he has struggled to hit his stride with superstars like Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, and Rodrygo ahead of him.
However, he’d be a high-value asset in FC 26, boasting a potential north of 90.
Joao Neves is another one of PSG’s many young talents that should be on your radar in FC 26. He’s the latest gem in Portugal’s conveyor belt of midfield talent.
The 20-year-old was a key part of Enrique’s all-conquering PSG midfield and will likely be a force to be reckoned with once FC 26 rolls around.
His FC 25 rating was already a respectable 79. But there should be an upgrade that reflects his current standing as one of the finest young defensive midfielders in Europe.
