New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag intends to push through a major squad clearout this summer.

Ten Hag is staying in London after arriving by private jet on Wednesday, and he will watch United's final game of the season at Crystal Palace this weekend from the stands.

The Dutchman is set to meet with the players for the first time when he officially takes over on Monday, but will have no direct input until then out of respect for interim manager Ralf Rangnick.

Up to 10 players are expected to leave Old Trafford this summer, as Ten Hag seeks to make a fresh start, says the Daily Mail.

Paul Pogba, Edinson Cavani, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Lee Grant will depart as free agents.

So will Jesse Lingard, who could rejoin West Ham after a successful loan spell at the London Stadium last year.

United are ready to offload centre-backs Eric Bailly and Phil Jones, while Harry Maguire's future could also be in doubt. The club will also listen to offers for right back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, three years after the defender arrived from Crystal Palace in a £50m deal.

Dean Henderson's agents, meanwhile, have reopened talks with Newcastle United about a summer loan move.
