AC Milan are interested in signing Fikayo Tomori on loan from Chelsea until 2022, according to the latest from England.

We reported last night that the new hot name for defence is indeed Tomori, who would be allowed to leave Chelsea on loan. After long negotiations with Strasbourg over Mohamed Simakan, therefore, Milan could opt for a different solution in the end.

The Telegraph are reporting that Milan are among the clubs showing a strong interest in Tomori, who has emerged as a target for the Rossoneri if they miss out on Simakan, who could join RB Leipzig.

The paper adds that Milan are ready to offer an 18-month loan deal for Tomori, who they also wanted on loan during the last transfer window.

The 23-year-old has fallen to fifth choice in head coach Frank Lampard’s pecking order and is expected to leave Chelsea, but only on loan, with interest from at least one Premier League club and from LaLiga in Spain.
