At just 21 years of age, Eduardo Camavinga has already racked up 21 appearances for the France national team and has made himself a mainstay in the Real Madrid team.

The Stade Rennais academy product burst onto the scene in Ligue 1 and it didn’t take him long to earn a €30m move to Real Madrid back in 2021. With Los Blancos, he has already won two UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga titles, racking up 147 appearances for the club.

At times, Camavinga has been a victim of his own strengths, notably his versatility. This has seen Didier Deschamps test him in a left-back position and has at times seen the France manager unsure at to where to play the former Rennes midfielder.

However, according to Romain Molina, there is now an acknowledgement that Camavinga has not only earned his place in France’s midfield but also that the Real Madrid man is the best midfielder in the national team set-up. This, Molina reports, is the source of some “jealousy” among other Les Bleus midfielders.
