Takumi Minamino completes move to Monaco

Liverpool have confirmed that Takumi Minamino has left the club to join Monaco in a permanent transfer.

The Japanese international has made the move to France for a reported €18m fee and signs a long-term deal at the Stade Louis II.

Speaking to the official Monaco club website after making the move, Minamino said: “It is a great joy for me to join Monaco.

“I am happy to be part of the club’s project, which is one of the most recognised in an exciting championship.”

The 27-year-old leaves Anfield having spent two-and-a-half years at the club, where he scored 14 goals in 55 appearances for Jürgen Klopp’s side.
