The SWPL has confirmed the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League matches selected for broadcast up to Round 13.

Sky Sports will broadcast a further two matches following confirmation that Rangers v Celtic on Thursday 3 October will be the first live Sky Sports match of the Season. They follow up their coverage of that match with Glasgow City v Rangers on Saturday 12 October and then Celtic v Rangers on Sunday 17 November.

The Sky Sports cameras have never been at Petershill Park as Glasgow City look to defeat Rangers for the first time since their dramatic 1-0 win at Ibrox on the final day of the 2022/23 season.

Jo Potter’s side are back on Sky Sports the following month as they face Celtic. The two sides are yet to meet this campaign and only goal difference could separate them last season in the league, with Celtic leaving it late to lift the title.

BBC ALBA have selected a further four matches including the second Edinburgh derby between Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian. The Jambos were emphatic 4-0 winners at Easter Road last Friday as Eva Olid’s side jumped up to second in the league. Hibs will now be looking for revenge at a stadium they were victorious at last season.

BBC Sport Scotland have selected the ‘Petershill Park’ derby as Glasgow City host Partick Thistle on Sunday 3 November. The two sides met last month with City prevailing 2-0 thanks to goals from Wilma Forsblom and Natalia Wróbel.

Fiona McIntyre, SWPL Managing Director, said: “We’re pleased to confirm more live games across all three of our broadcast partners. We know from last season that we have a growing television audience and these latest selections mean we will have broadcast live 22 ScottishPower Women’s Premier League matches for fans to enjoy, up to and including Round 13 of the current season. With upcoming games across Scotland, including the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle Park, we encourage fans to get to a match or tune in if you can’t be there in person.”
