That's according to a report from Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt, who have been providing an update on the Championship side's interest in the attacker.

Milleskog joined Sirius from another top-flight side in his native Sweden - Djurgarden - back at the start of this calendar year.

Since making that move, the 22-year-old has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for his current club.

That had already attracted interest from the Championship in the summer, when it was reported that Swansea had made an offer for Milleskog.

Ultimately, no deal materialised before the window closed at the end of August, but it appears the club have not given up their pursuit of the services of the attacker.

Swansea plotting January bid for Noel Milleskog

As per this latest update, Swansea will make a new bid to sign the attacker in the January transfer window.

It is thought that they have recently sent scouts to watch Milleskog, and it seems they have not been put off by what they have seen.

The Championship club are said to have offered £1.1million to sign the 22-year-old in the summer, but are now expected to up that offer to £1.85million at the turn of the year.

That could apparently convince Sirius to come to the negotiating table over a deal for Milleskog in the January transfer window.

As things stand, there are just over four years remaining on the attacker's deal with his current club, securing his future in Sweden until the end of the calendar year in 2028.

Consequently, Sirius do have some scope to negotiate any offers that Swansea, or anyone else, make for Milleskog in January.

They currently sit seventh in the Swedish top-flight, with 40 points from 26 league games, and four matches still to be played in the campaign.

For their part, Swansea have taken 12 points from nine league games at the start of this Championship season, putting them 11th in the current second-tier table.

Luke Williams' side are next in action after the international break on Saturday 19th October, when they make the trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers.

Swedish attacker could be a useful signing

It does feel as though the addition of Milleskog could be a smart piece of business for the Swans to complete come January.

Milleskog has made some impressive contributions in terms of goals and assists, and is capable of playing in a range of attacking roles.

He could therefore, have plenty to offer Swansea, who themselves have Liam Cullen out of contract in the summer, while Myles Peart-Harris is only on loan for this season.

As a result, they may soon need some extra attacking depth for their squad, something that Milleskog can certainly offer.

The increase in the fee they would apparently be offering for his services could also be seen as a show of intent from the Welsh side.

With all that in mind, it does seem as though Milleskog is a potential signing that could be well worth pursuing for Swansea.
