Manchester United will temporarily be without the talents of summer signing Noussair Mazraoui.
Conflicting reports on Thursday claimed the Morocco international experienced heart palpitations and was expected to be out long term.
An update from Manchester Evening News’ chief correspondent Samuel Luckhurst has since confirmed the 26-year-old successfully underwent a minor precautionary corrective procedure.
The boost for Manchester United is that they deem it a “relatively common condition” and the player is expected to fully recover.
According to MEN, the Premier League club expects Mazraoui to return to action within the next few weeks. Manchester United are yet to make a statement about the player’s condition.
The former Bayern Munich and Ajax star has made 10 appearances across all competitions under Erik ten Hag this season.
