Bayern Munich goalkeeper Sven Ulreich has admitted he may leave the club this summer.
Ulreich joined Bayern from Stuttgart in 2015 but has made just 69 appearances in almost five seasons, having played second fiddle to number one goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
And with Alexander Nübel arriving from Schalke in the summer, the 31-year-old accepts the time has come to assess his options.
“I will look at everything that will happen in the next few weeks,” Ulreich told SportBild.
“I said yes, if something opens up where I can play, I’d like to do it. Otherwise I will give my all here in my last year of contract.”
Bayern boss Hansi Flick has publicly praised Ulreich recently, but the coach also admits that developing Nübel will be their priority next season.
“We want to develop him [Nübel] further, but it is also clear that the performance concept counts at FC Bayern,” Flick told Kicker.
“Currently, Sven Ulreich is doing really well.”
