More Championship clubs have joined the race for Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is poised to make a loan move to the Championship this summer, with three more clubs joining the battle for his services.
Sunderland, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers have asked about Rak-Sakyi, according to journalist Alan Nixon via his Patreon.
Luton Town and Blackburn Rovers are also interested in signing the 21-year-old, whilst Hull City have been quoted with an interest too.
Rak-Sakyi made six appearances in the Premier League last season, but could now be on the move from Selhurst Park for more first-team football.
It is no surprise to see that Championship clubs are interested in a move for Rak-Sakyi after the highly-rated forward made just eight first team appearances for the Eagles last season.
Rak-Sakyi stayed at Selhurst Park last summer despite interest from clubs in the second tier, including Blackburn Rovers and Hull City, as Roy Hodgson felt his squad did not have enough cover in wide areas.
Now, it looks like the youngster will be allowed to gain experience in the Championship next season, and there are plenty of potential suitors queuing up to sign him.
The winger is an exciting player who can create chances out of nothing, with his skillful dribbling and finishing ability making him a serious goal threat.
Rak-Sakyi signed a five-year deal at Crystal Palace in the summer of 2022, before joining League One side Charlton Athletic on a season-long loan.
He was highly impressive during his time at The Valley, winning the Supporters' Player of the Year award in 2023.
His eye-catching performances in League One made it clear that he was capable of playing at a higher level, and while he is yet to prove himself in the top flight with Palace, he should get an opportunity to show what he can do with a regular run of games in the Championship during the 2024/25 campaign.
Rak-Sakyi started against Manchester United in the Premier League at the age of just 18, showing that he is one of the most promising players to come out of the Eagles' academy in recent years.
The 21-year-old has now made 10 first team appearances for Palace, and will feel that it is time to show he is ready to be given more regular opportunities.
With Sunderland, Stoke, QPR, Luton, Hull and Blackburn battling to sign him, it is clear that Rak-Sakyi is expected to be a strong performer in the second tier.
He will hope he can show the same kind of form that he managed to produce on a regular basis during his time on loan at Charlton, and after a season training with the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, he will most likely have taken his game to a higher level in the last year.
It will be interesting to see which Championship club Rak-Sakyi joins on loan for next season, as he looks to make an impact and prove that he can make it in the Premier League with Palace.
