The striker reflects on his equaliser against Napoli

Isaac Success’s bouncing shot from close range helped Udinese to a potentially crucial point at home to Napoli late on, which the forward touched upon straight after the 1-1 stalemate.

“The point is more important than the goal, as it takes us closer to our target. It’s a draw against a top side. We wanted to claim all three points in front of our supporters, but now we need to look ahead. This point can give us a boost.”

Udinese had their full array of forwards to choose from, with Success thriving thanks to the competition in the squad.

“It’s certainly a good thing. It pushes us all to improve.”

Following his injury, the Nigerian has received so much support from his team-mates.

“This is a united squad. We’re like a family and I received so much encouragement. I was able to help out today in the space of just a few minutes and I hope to keep doing that. We’re all working hard for one another.”

The forward finished off by giving credit to new boss Fabio Cannavaro.

“His ideas are clear. Even though he’s not been here long, he’s already giving us so much. He has so much experience and he’s brought his personality too while trying to adapt to the team as quickly as possible. We’re certainly all working hard.

“It’ll be tough against Lecce in our next game, but we’ll play to the best of our ability.”
