Strasbourg predicted XI: Alaa Bellaarouch replaces departed Matz Sels in goal | OneFootball

Alaa Bellaarouch (22), who has never featured in a Ligue 1 fixture, is set to start in goal for RC Strasbourg Alsace against Paris Saint-Germain following Matz Sels’ departure to Nottingham Forest on deadline day.

With Sels’ departure coming so last minute, a first-choice replacement was not recruited by Strasbourg, who will now rely on the inexperienced Bellaarouch until the end of the season. The experienced Matthieu Dreyer (34) arrived at the club in the final minutes of deadline day, however, the form AS Saint-Étienne shotstopper has only been brought in as a backup.

Andrey Santos also joined RCSA on deadline day from affiliate club Chelsea, however, the midfielder is on international duty, and won’t be available for selection for a fortnight. Ismaël Doukouré and Kevin Gameiro miss out through injury.
