Alex Neil’s side will be looking to bounce back on Saturday when they host Watford at the Bet365 Stadium.

The Hornets have four points from their opening two games, having hammered QPR 4-0 and then drawn 0-0 with newly promoted Plymouth Argyle.

Valerien Ismael has made a positive start to life at Vicarage Road, where the expectation will be to compete for promotion this season.

Saturday’s clash will be an opportunity for both sides to lay down a marker for their respective hopes for this year.

Here we look at the latest details ahead of their clash this upcoming weekend…

What is the latest Stoke City v Watford team news?

Stoke have no new fresh injury concerns, with Lewis Baker and Tyrese Campbell still the only players set to miss this weekend’s action.

Neil made four changes in one go in the defeat to Plymouth last time out, which indicates he may look to make some changes this weekend to reflect his unhappiness with the performance.

Wesley could come into the side to replace Chiquinho, a move that was made at half-time against the Pilgrims.

Elsewhere, the likes of Yase Asprilla, Giorgi Chakvetadze, Jake Livermore and Ismael Kone will all be pushing for a place in the side.

The Potters will be looking to get back to winning ways with a better display in front of their home supporters this weekend.

Meanwhile, former Stoke player Tom Ince is set to travel with the Watford squad following his move to the club.

An injury has prevented him from featuring for his new club so far, but he could be in line for his debut against his former side.

However, Jamal Lewis and Rhys Healey are unlikely to make their returns with Valerien Ismael claiming patience is required before letting them make their comeback to the team.

“Jamal Lewis had a setback with his calf, so we have to be patient with him,” said Ismaël, via the club’s official website.

“We cannot rush, especially with this kind of issue.

“What’s important is the player gets confidence back in his body and in this area.

“We will go from there and hopefully he will be back soon.

“It’s nothing major, not a big injury and he could be back next week, or it could take another week.

“I want him back when he is 100 per cent.

“It was a difficult pre-season for Rhys after the ACL injury he had last year.

“Everyone knows it’s difficult to come back to your level straight away.”
