Schalke 04, Union St Gilloise and QPR eyeing move for former Stoke City winger | OneFootball

Gazet van Antwerpen is reporting that Schalke 04, Union St Gilloise and QPR are just a handful of clubs that are eyeing a move for Beerschot winger Thibaud Verlinden. The winger is under contract until the end of the 2024/2025 season and signed for the club on a free transfer back in the summer of 2022.

Previously the winger had been with Stoke City, having loan spells at St Pauli and Bolton during his time there. In the summer of 2021 he joined Fortuna Sittard from Stoke. He made 13 appearances for Stoke City during his time there, grabbing one assist. Verlinden only managed six appearances for Fortuna Sittard before leaving to join Slovakian side Dunajska Streda, where he played 16 times grabbing one goal and three assists.

His career has really come full circle during his time with Beerschot. In 63 games over two seasons he has scored 11 goals and provided 17 assists. 10 of these assists have come this season as the side won promotion back to the Belgian Pro League. According to Transfermarkt, the 24-year-old is currently valued at around €700k.
