Roma attacker Stephan El Shaarawy analyzed the team’s performance in last night’s important win over Udinese.

Following Roma’s first victory of the new season, El Shaarawy spoke to reporters at his post-match presser.

“It was an important victory for us and for the fans, after these recent negative results it was much needed,” he said.

“We played aggressively and with determination. We are happy for tonight’s result,” he added. “We executed what the coach asked of us, an all-round game that we managed to interpret well and then created a good game and many opportunities, so it was a positive evening in a very delicate moment.”

“In recent weeks there has been much talk but very little said about the actual games.”

“The disappointment of the public regarding De Rossi’s dismissal – I would like to say that for our part Daniele’s dismissal is linked to the results we have obtained and not for other reasons, therefore we must do better in terms of results, we know that we must give more.”
