Chelsea defender Levi Colwill returned to Premier League football last night after some time out with injury.

Colwill, who is currently on loan with Brighton, started at left centre back for the PL side in their 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, and as you can see from a collection of the stats and pass maps presented in tweets further down the page, he was on absolute fire upon his return.

There is no doubt that Chelsea have a superb player on their hands here, and all indications point towards him coming back into the Chelsea squad this summer and will be in contention to make Graham Potter’s squad going forward. He clearly has the talent.

Chelsea have been linked with another left-footed centre back in Josko Gvardiol, but they should really save a huge chunk of money and just invest time and patience in Colwill instead, because he’s going right to the top.
