Charlotte FC midfielder heading to Argentina

Alan Franco is on his way to Argentina after ending his time with Charlotte FC.

The 23-year-old midfielder now joins CA Talleres on loan for one season which the Board of Directors confirmed however reports in the United States claim the deal isn’t entirely complete.

Lorenzo Insigne mania in Toronto

The biggest news across MLS recently was Toronto FC’s official unveiling of blockbuster summer signing, Lorenzo Insigne.

The former Napoli captain was greeted by fans both at the airport and in the city’s Little Italy district, causing quite a scene!

Wyatt Omsberg out following foot surgery

Chicago Fire have been handed a blow after defender Wyatt Omsberg was ruled out for the long-term.

The 26-year-old picked up an injury during the match against D.C. United and will now undergo surgery to mend torn ligaments in his left foot.

The lone MLS game on Friday night saw FC Cincinnati beat Orlando City 1-0 thanks to some second-half heroics from Brenner.

It’s an unfortunate goal for Pedro Gallese to concede after doing virtually everything possible to prevent the ball from finding the net initially.

Cinnncinatti now sit sixth in the Eastern Conference while Orlando stay fourth.

Obed Vargas sidelined for Seattle, USA

Seattle Sounders’ teenage superstar Obed Vargas is set to be on the sidelines for multiple weeks after suffering a lower back stress fracture.

Additionally, he is now also out of representing the United States at the Concacaf U-20 Championship.

The 16-year-old, who has 22 appearances with the senior side, is now seeing a specialist for the injury.

Braithwaite heading to MLS?

MLS could see another blockbuster signing this summer with rumours of Barcelona ace Martin Braithwaite heading stateside.

The 31-year-old center-forward has fallen out of favour under Xavi and could be on the move with only two years of his contract remaining. A transfer to the middle east is also reportedly being considered though the player is keener toward MLS, as per a report from 90mins.

During his time with Barcelona, Braithwaite registered 10 goals and five assists in 56 matches.
