It’s Tuesday and time for the Canadian Championship final! Here we go!
Valentín ‘Taty’ Castellanos, as expected, has officially left NYCFC after a legendary four-year career at the club.
Castellanos will stay in the City Football Group system, joining CFG-owned LaLiga outfit Girona on a year-long loan.
In 110 games for the club, the Argentine scored an impressive 50 goals and notched 20 assists, helping guide NYCFC to the 2021 MLS Cup while winning the league’s Golden Boot along the way.

However, it has been widely reported that Suárez will make a decision on whether or not to join Uruguayan giants, Club Nacional de Football, in the next 24 hours.
Nacional is Suárez’s first club, where he made his professional debut back in April 2005.
Montreal and Canada international central midfielder Ismael Koné has been impressive since making his professional debut less than 12 months ago.
Going from semi-professional football to the Championship in under a year would be an incredible story and it appears that the 20-year-old star is close to making that dream become reality.
Koné has just 20 matches under his belt in addition to his pair of appearances for Canada in March World Cup qualifying.
The USMNT international starlet has already hit 30 goals and 20 assists in Major League Soccer before turning 22.
With seven goals and four assists in just 13 games with the United States as well, it’s only a matter of time before the FC Dallas striker takes the next step in his career.
While Shaqiri got in and Aljaz Ivacic was a virtual lock after his six-save performance, which included one of the best saves of the season, Federico Bernardeschi found himself on the bench despite a goal and an assist on his debut.
Gracias, Taty.
