Spurs full-back James joins Seattle Reign | OneFootball

Tottenham Hotspur full-back Angharad James has joined American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) club Seattle Reign.

The Lilywhites announced news of the deal via a post on their official club website this evening.

James has spent the last 18 months with Spurs after joining the North Londoners from NWSL club Orlando Pride in summer 2022. The player has gone on to make 33 appearances for Spurs in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

James has spent most of her senior career playing in England. After spending her youth on the books of Arsenal, she went on to represent Bristol Academy, Notts County, Yeovil Town, Everton and Reading. The Welsh international then moved Stateside with North Carolina Courage before enjoying a spell with Orlando Pride.

The player has had the opportunity to return to the NWSL with Seattle Reign and she has taken up that offer.

After joining Seattle Reign, James told the club’s official media team “I’m excited to be joining such a prolific club in the NWSL.

“I’m looking forward to this new opportunity. I can’t wait to arrive in Seattle and meet the fans!”

It is unknown whether there will be any other Transfer Deadline Day activity in or out of Spurs.
