It was all going so well for Sporting CP in their Champions League meeting with Marseille in France on Tuesday night.
Francisco Trincão had put them ahead after just 53 seconds as they looked to build on wins in their first two group stage games.

But then their goalkeeper Antonio Adán conspired to have a nightmare of a first half.
First, the Spaniard saw his clearance end up into the back of the net after being closed down by Alexis Sánchez which levelled proceedings.
Before he only went and got himself sent off after 23 minutes for handling outside of the area.
There won’t be many players who have had a 23 minutes stint of football as bad as that.
