As per L’Équipe, Spartak Moscow have reached an agreement with Olympique de Marseille regarding the transfer of Azzedine Ounahi (25).

The Morocco international spent last season on loan with Panathinaikos in Greece, where he got his career back on track (37 games, five goals, seven assists) following a difficult 18-month period at OM. The Greek side held an interest in retaining the player, who is also attracting interest from long-term admirers Brighton and Hove Albion.

However, it is Spartak Moscow who have made a move and reached an agreement with Marseille. The two clubs have agreed on a deal of €12m. Ounahi is currently considering the move, which would entail a salary increase.

However, Foot Mercato understands that the former SCO Angers midfielder is not particularly sold on the idea of a move to the Russian club.

In the event of the deal being concluded, Angers would pocket 30% of the fee.
