Sparta Rotterdam announced on Tuesday that they have signed goalkeeper Benjamin van Leer from Ajax.
The 28-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal.
The goalkeeper only made one single first-team appearance for Ajax since leaving Roda JC on a €700,000 fee back in summer 2017 and still had one year remaining on his current deal.
Van Leer spent the 2018-19 season on loan at NAC Breda but could not save them from relegation despite being their everyday starter.
He now joins Sparta Rotterdam as their likely starter as Tim Coremans will likely be out with injury until well into 2021 while Ariel Harush has left the club as his contract has expired.
