Spanish duo on Chelsea wish list for summer transfer window | OneFootball

Chelsea are interested in deals to sign Nico Williams and Dean Huijsen in the summer transfer window.

The Spanish duo are high on the club’s list of priorities for the summer as the Blues continue to pursue emerging talent.

Williams was linked with several top clubs after starring during Spain’s success at Euro 2024. The winger was named in the Team of the Tournament and was heavily linked with Barcelona.

Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with Williams, who has a €58m (£48.3m) release clause in his contract at Athletic Bilbao. The 22-year-old has four goals and five assists in 30 appearances across all competitions this season.

Another name on Chelsea’s radar is Dean Huijsen, according to TEAMtalk. Huijsen has made a big impression since signing for Bournemouth from Juventus in a £12.8m deal in the summer.

The 19-year-old has impressed as part of Andoni Iraola’s side on the south coast, with Bournemouth pushing for a place in Europe.

The Dutch-born Spain u-21 international ranks in the top 11% of defenders in Europe’s top five leagues for progressive carries, clearances, blocks and interceptions across the last 12 months.

Huijsen’s representatives reportedly inserted a release clause in the region of £55m into the six-year contract he signed with the Cherries last summer.
