Huijsen has made a huge impression since signing for Bournemouth from Juventus last summer.

The 19-year-old has made 18 appearances in the Premier League and has formed an impressive understanding with Ilya Zabarnyi. The defensive duo have helped Bournemouth to seventh in the table, just three points from the Champions League places.

Huijsen is on the radar of Real Madrid and several Premier League rivals. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all admirers of the Spain u-21 international.

Chelsea are continuing a recruitment focus on emerging talent, while Liverpool are set to enter the market for a left-sided central defender. Virgil van Dijk’s deal expires in the summer as things stand, while Joe Gomez is expected to move on in search of a regular role.

Manchester United are also assessing options that suit Ruben Amorim’s preferred back three system.

In the Premier League this season, Huijsen ranks in the top seven percent of defenders for progressive carries, shots blocked, goals and interceptions per 90 minutes.

His displays in his debut season in English football have caught the attention of rival clubs and Bournemouth are braced for bids in the summer.

Huijsen signed a six-year deal with the Cherries last summer and TBR Football are reporting the deal contains a release clause of £55m. That fee would see Bournemouth recoup a healthy profit on the €15m (£12.8m) invested last summer.
