Sure, it has its ugly side, a side that reared its ugly head during violent scenes among Hungary fans at Wembley on Tuesday night, but, for the most part, it really is beautiful.

Fortunately the Spanish u/21 side were able to counter balance the crowd trouble in London with an absolute masterpiece in their clash with Northern Ireland.

Initially, the Spaniards looked to be hemmed in as they looked to play it out from the back but, in the blinking of an eye after a hurricane of one-touch madness, they had worked their way out and were bearing down on goal.

The vision and quick feet involved simply left the opposition with no hope and the speedy finish from Sergio Gomez at the end popped a very handy cherry on top of what was already lovely cake.
