A star member of the Spanish national team squad has on Friday moved to assure that neither he nor his teammates are fearful of the potential impact of Jude Bellingham in the upcoming European Championship final.
The Euro 2024 showpiece is of course set to play out this coming Sunday night.
The matchup will see Spain lock horns with England, at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
In the buildup to the matchup, much of the discussion has centered on the players likely to make the biggest impact in swaying the result in their country’s favour.
Front and centre on the Spanish side of things has understandably been Barcelona prodigy Lamine Yamal.
And turning attentions towards England, widespread chatter has surrounded whether Jude Bellingham could conjure up another moment of magic when needed most.
Safe to say, though, that one member of Luis de la Fuente’s Spain squad not at all ‘afraid’ regarding as much comes in the form of Dani Olmo.
In quotes captured by El Larguero on Friday evening, midfielder Olmo, who has himself enjoyed a stellar Euros campaign to date, was drawn on the talents of Real Madrid’s gifted starlet.
And the 26-year-old did not hesitate in assuring that:
“I’m not afraid of Jude Bellingham. Like Morata, he is a reference. Football goes through his boots. Like others he is a player to keep in mind, Bellingham is always in the middle of everything but we are not afraid of anyone.”
