Southampton have confirmed the signing of Ghanian international Kamaldeen Sulemana.
The Saints have beaten off a challenge from relegation rivals Everton for the 20-year-old, with both clubs having reportedly had €25m bids accepted by Rennes earlier in the day.
The forward has put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal at St.Mary’s.
Sulemana arrived at Rennes for €15m from Nordsjaelland in July 2022 and has scored six goals and produced four assists in 47 appearances for the club.
He has earned 15 caps for Ghana, featuring in two of their World Cup group stage games in Qatar in 2022.
