Southampton initiate talks with Rangers over Aribo

Southampton and Scottish giants Rangers are in talks regarding a deal for midfielder Joe Aribo.

The 25-year-old is a hot property this summer, and is wanted by several Premier League clubs.

According to the Daily Mail, Saints are hoping to steal a march on Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest and Fulham to secure Aribo.

Discussions with Rangers are proceeding, with Aribo having a £10 million release clause in his contract.

Southampton may be hoping to secure him for a slightly lower fee.

Aribo has a year left on his contract, which means he can leave on a free transfer next summer.
