Sources: Blackpool, Sunderland and Barnsley among clubs keen on Stoke City player
Football League World
A number of clubs are keen on Stoke City youngster Tashan Oakley-Boothe this January transfer window with him potentially available for a loan transfer, Football League World has been told.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined the Potters from Tottenham and has made a handful of appearances since, with him showing good quality and potential.
However, what he needs is to be playing football regularly to really start developing and understanding the game, and that is where a loan deal could come in.
Football League World has been told that there is a good chance the youngster will be allowed to leave temporarily this month with a view to him getting more senior minutes, and a number of EFL sides are keen.
Sky Bet Championship pair Blackpool and Barnsley are in the mix, as are Sky Bet League One promotion hopefuls Sunderland and fellow third-tier side Burton Albion.
Clearly, there’s no shortage of options potentially available to Oakley-Boothe ahead of the final week of the transfer window, and it just remains to be seen what he and Stoke think could be the best route to go down.
Getting such a transfer right is important to a player’s development, and that will be at the forefront of the Potters’ minds.
