Defensive rock grabbed a vital goal

The Salzburg Fortress remains impenetrable - we are now unbeaten in 38 Austrian Bundesliga home matches, in a run going back to December 2019! The proud sequence almost came to an end in our last meeting with LASK at the Red Bull Arena, only for Oumar Solet to rescue it in the dying seconds.

We went into the final minute of stoppage time with the visitors from Linz sitting right back and doing anything they could to take their 1-0 lead over the line. The ball ended up at the feet of a man who is used to stopping goals at the other end of the field, as Oumar Solet pounced for his second competitive goal for our club to save the wonderful home run that continues to this day.
