Carlos Soler and Pablo Sarabia’s Spain ran out 1-0 winners against a Portugal side featuring their club teammates Nuno Mendes, Danilo Pereira and Vitinha last night at the Estádio Municipal in Braga, in the sixth and final round of UEFA Nations League group-stage fixtures.

La Roja's smash-and-grab win means that they beat the Equipa das Quinas to top spot in Group A2, thereby booking their place in the competition's final four, where they will join Croatia, the Netherlands and Italy. The semi-finals will take place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th June 2023, with the third-place play-off and the final set for Sunday 18th June. The host country will be appointed in January 2023.
