AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has been pleasantly surprised from what he has seen of two young midfielders and Milanello recently.

According to what is being reported by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Pioli has rediscovered different qualities even in the players who are currently considered to be reserves, namely Tommaso Pobega and Aster Vranckx.

Despite their young age, Pioli believes that they are already mentally ready to play at a high level and as part of an ambitious team. The Italian has already passed the Champions League test having scored his first goal for the club in the win over Dinamo Zagreb, and he was also called up to the Italian national team.

That means Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer will be able to catch their breath at the right moments and Franck Kessie’s departure hurts less for the Rossoneri. We can expect to see Pobega and Vranckx on the field more after the break.
