SGE suffered a 3-2 friendly defeat against TSG Hoffenheim as part of the ‘Eintracht in the Region’ initiative, but celebrated Camilla Küver's comeback in front of a lively crowd.

After last week's 4-1 win over FC Basel in Langen, Eintracht Frankfurt Women were on their travels in the surrounding region again on Sunday afternoon, this time for a match against league rivals TSG Hoffenheim in Mainaschaff. In brilliant sunshine, a glorious atmosphere and in front of approximately 500 supporters, the two Women's Bundesliga sides went toe-to-toe in a hard-fought game which Hoffenheim eventually won 3-2. The silver lining for Eintracht was the return of Camilla Küver following her cruciate ligament tear in November 2021. "At the end of the day, 'Eintract in the Region' is the winner," said head coach Niko Arnautis. "I think it's great that so many people came to watch. The fans witnessed a lively, fast-paced game with a few goals too. Unfortunately we scored one goal too few as a 3-3 draw would have been a fair result. We did some things well but we still have to improve in other areas in our upcoming training camp ahead of starting our UEFA Women's Champions League adventure."
