AC Milan have been linked with a move for Patrick Dorgu in recent weeks and months, but his asking price has now reportedly skyrocketed.
Sky (via MilanNews) took stock of the situation regarding Dorgu, who is undoubtedly the player who has shone the most for Lecce since their return to the top flight. He has been used both in midfield and in defence by former now-sacked coach Gotti, while Marco Giampaolo’s methods are awaited.
The Lecce management are determined to make the highest capital gain ever of the Corvino era when they do sell Dorgu. He could have gone to Tottenham and Chelsea last year and now the belief is that the Gialloblu want offers in the €40-50m region.
In recent months, the Dane has also been linked to Milan, although the team that seems most interested at the moment seems to be Napoli. In this first part of the season he has scored twice in 13 games across league and cup, though Lecce have struggled generally.
With Theo Hernandez not having had a reliable deputy or some time now and given his struggles physically and psychologically, Milan are likely to try invest in a new left-back. However, paying such a high amount for a back-up seems impossible.
