AC Milan simply must win against Lazio tonight in order to try stabilise after a very difficult February, and Sergio Conceicao has been dealt an injury boost.
Milan are probably out of the running for a Champions League spot after the loss to Bologna, but anything other than three points against Lazio at San Siro would end the hopes for good, and add to the climate of protest around the club too.
The contribution of everyone will be needed, 100% (or rather, to put it in Conceicao’s words, 150%) from every player in the squad, including Kyle Walker. According to Sky (via Calciomercato.com), the English defender will be in the squad to face the Biancocelesti.
Not only that, but he is in pole position for a starting spot, with Alex Jimenez expected to drop to the bench. Walker suffered a minor problem with his left thigh flexor during the home match against Feyenoord, though he is now back and clearly close to 100%.
It is certainly a timely boost, because the four-man defence had looked relatively solid prior to the former Manchester City man getting injured. His return could also facilitate the use of a three-man defence, which Conceicao hinted that he is working on.
