Simon Simoni’s loan spell with Ingolstadt has been brought to an early conclusion, with the goalkeeper now going on an 18-month deal to 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

Goalkeeper Simon Simoni was originally set to stay with FC Ingolstadt for a year, but that deal has been cut short after discussions between Eintracht Frankfurt, the third-tier side and the player. The 20-year-old has now moved with immediate effect to Bundesliga 2 outfit 1. FC Kaiserslautern, where he will stay on loan until 30 June 2026. The ’keeper, who has 11 U21 caps for Albania, is under contract with Eintracht through to 2027.

Simoni joined the Eagles in January 2023 and had made 22 appearances for the U21s up until last summer. In Ingolstadt, he made four appearances across all competitions, including one in the DFB Cup in August against his new club Kaiserslautern.
