Manchester City will lock horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants earned a comfortable 5-1 win over Fulham before the international break which will keep them in high spirts ahead of this clash.

Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make one change to his first team for this game. Bernardo Silva will get a chance to impress from the start as Mateo Kovacic is a major doubt for this game due to injury.

Defence

Ederson will operate in goal for Man City after conceding one goal in his last appearance in the Premier League. Manuel Akanji will function alongside Ruben Dias at the centre of Guardiola’s defence as they look to keep things solid at the back during the game.

Kyle Walker will look to put his pace to good use at the right-back position while Nathan Ake gets a chance to impress as the left-back. Guardiola will allow both of them to get forward and make some overlapping runs out in the wide areas.

Josko Gvardiol will have to settle for a spot on the bench as he offers cover for the defensive positions.

Midfield

Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Julian Alvarez will make up Man City’s midfield as they try to dictate the tempo of the game in the West Ham half. All three of them need to move the ball well if Man City are to secure a convincing win at the London Stadium this weekend.

Kalvin Phillips will have to be content with a place on the bench and might come on to make an impact as a substitute in the second half if required.

Attack

Jeremy Doku could get another chance to make a difference for the Mancunian club on the left flank. Phil Foden would try to cause a lot of problems for the West Ham defenders from the right-wing.

Erling Haaland will lead the charge for Man City up top. The Norway international would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after scoring a hattrick in his last league outing.
